About Landcare

Landcare

Landcare is a not for profit organisation which was established in 1989 by the Australian Government to raise money for the land care movement.

Landcare is a uniquely Australian partnership between the community, government and business to ‘do something practical’ about protecting and repairing the environment.

The company has more than 4000 volunteer community landcare groups – including bushcare and urban landcare, rivercare, coastcare and sustainable agriculture groups - that are tackling land degradation in every corner of Australia.

Red Energy’s Initiative with Landcare

In July 2007, Red Energy launched the ‘Let’s Grow Trees’ initiative with Landcare Australia. The initiative aims to help customers turn their energy use into something environmentally positive.

Red Energy is proud to support this initiative and customer’s of Red Energy who have signed on this promotion, will help towards the regeneration of Murray Darling basin and in turn the conservation of the endangered Red Tailed Black Cockatoo that feeds on trees in this region.
