Energy Efficiency Schemes
From January 2009, energy retailers in South Australia and Victoria, including Red Energy, are subject to new regulatory obligations to improve residential energy efficiency. These schemes are known as REES - Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme in South Australia and VEET - Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Scheme.
Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES)
Introduced by the SA State Government, REES promotes energy efficiency within households through a range of energy saving measures.
Red Energy has appointed Enact Energy to assist it with Red’s obligations under this scheme. The ‘Green Project’ is managed by Enact Energy and offers you free installation of efficient light globes and water efficient showerheads, and various other incentives on loft insulation and more to help you reduce your energy bills.
