Red Energy has been a proud sponsor of Lauren Parker since 2017. Since then Lauren has made history becoming the first dual-sport Paralympic gold medallist in 48 years winning the paratriathlon and the cycling road race. She also won a silver medal in the cycling time trial event.

Back in April 2017, Lauren was in training for an Ironman event when she was involved in a terrible accident on her bike that left her a paraplegic. “All I can remember is lying on the road on my back, a lady holding my neck, who had stopped in a car alongside the road, and I was in so much pain,” recalls Lauren of the accident. “I felt like I’d lost my whole life.”

But after spending just three months in rehab, Lauren checked herself out and set herself the goal of competing again

Less than a year later, she returned to competitive sport and won a bronze medal at the Brisbane Commonwealth Games. Lauren has gone on to win World Championships and multiple sports awards, but she says it's her two golds from the 2024 Paralympics that go down as her greatest achievement so far.
