For new customers

Moving is the perfect time to switch energy providers, and it couldn’t be easier with Red Energy. Simply compare our plans, select one, and sign up online, ensuring you have provided all necessary details of your move. Alternatively, give us a call on 131 806, and our friendly team will guide you through the process.

Victorian residential customers receive free standard connections for electricity and/or gas when you move with Red Energy*. For other states, standard connection fees may apply. Unfortunately, connections cannot take place on a Sunday, or public holidays.

For existing customers

Once you’ve confirmed your moving date, get in touch, and we’ll help you get setup before you even step foot in your new home. We'll take care of the details, while you focus on making your new house a home.

For urgent connections

If you’re moving in less than one business day and need to connect your gas and electricity, we offer urgent connections. Simply give us a call before 12pm and we’ll do our best to get you connected as soon as we can. Urgent connection fees may apply.

*Includes standard connection or disconnection, a meter reading for electricity, fuse insert or removal for electricity and a meter reading for gas, when you switch to Red on a residential plan or continue on a Red residential plan at your new property and arrange for connection under the same account number. Excludes without limitation, any meter installation, pit and pole reconnection/disconnection, applying/removing locks and plugs for gas meters and truck visits. If you move out of your property and do not reconnect with Red, you will be charged a de-energisation fee.
