Under our opt-in Carbon Neutral Gas product, the emissions we offset from your natural gas usage do not extend to other services associated with your account, including those from third parties.

More about Australian Carbon Credit Units
In simple terms, Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) are a way for organisations to "offset" their carbon emissions by buying units from projects that reduce or remove carbon from the atmosphere. Each ACCU represents a reduction or removal of one metric tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent from the atmosphere.
Red Energy has purchased ACCUs from a human induced regeneration project in Western New South Wales which establishes permanent native forests on land that had been cleared of vegetation.
