Backing Aussie sport
We love bringing people together, and that’s why we support the sports clubs and local organisations that matter to the people we serve. From elite teams to grassroots programs, we sponsor the teams, leaders and local heroes who share spirit, loyalty and support their communities. That’s the kind of energy we believe in.
Partners of the Newcastle Knights
For over a decade, Red Energy has stood with the Newcastle Knights, a team whose spirit runs as deep as the Hunter region itself. Rain, hail or shine, thousands of loyal fans pour into the stadium to cheer on the red and blue, and we’re honoured to be part of that passion.
Our partnership, which began in 2015 and continues today, extends across both the NRL and NRLW teams, celebrating the full strength of the club and its growing community. We’re also supporters of the Knights Dance Squad and the inclusive, joyful Sparkle Squad, who bring extra energy and magic to home games.
This isn’t just a sponsorship, it’s a long-standing relationship with one of Australia’s most dedicated sporting communities.

Lauren Parker - Red ambassador & Paralympic champion
When a life-changing cycling accident left Lauren paraplegic, she didn't waste a moment. Within six months, she was training to return to elite sport. To help her get back on the road, we provided a vehicle to give Lauren her independence back.
Just one year later, she made history at the 2018 Commonwealth Games with a bronze medal - the fastest comeback from injury to podium ever recorded. Since then, Lauren has become a dual World Champion, a two-time Paralympic gold medalist, and the 2024 Paralympian of the Year. Lauren represents absolute courage, resilience, and belief. At Red, we don't just power homes. We power the people who make Australia proud.
Danny Buderus
Danny Buderus has been a Red Energy ambassador since 2015, and no one represents the spirit of rugby league quite like him. A Knights legend, State of Origin captain and Dally M Medal winner, he continues to shape the game through his leadership in his current role as Assistant Coach of the Newcastle Knights. What makes Danny truly special isn’t just what he’s achieved on the field. It’s the way he shows up for people. Danny brings heart and connection wherever he goes - values we stand behind.

Maddy Proud
Maddy Proud has been part of the Red Energy family since 2018, bringing speed, heart and infectious team energy to everything she does. As a star midcourter for the NSW Swifts, she’s known for her leadership on court, and her creativity off it, having published three teen novels. She’s the kind of role model young athletes look up to, and reflects our commitment to supporting women’s sport and the strong, future-focused leaders who make it thrive.
