Queensland
A Certificate of Testing and Compliance for electrical installation works will be provided for all electrical installation works. Refer to issuing certificates of compliance for further information. The Queensland Service and Installation Rules apply to all connections to the electricity supply distributors operated by Energex and Ergon Energy and all electricity installations connected to electricity supply are required to meet these standards. South Australia
If you are building a new home or planning on doing renovations and require electrical works to be done, you must use a registered electrical contractor. Visit Inspection and testing of electrical equipment on the SafeWork SA website for more information. A Certificate of compliance must be provided for all electrical installation works. The South Australian Service and Installation Rules apply to all connections to the electricity supply networks operated by SAPowerNetworks. All electricity installations connected to the energy supply are required to meet these standards.

Victoria
A Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES) must be provided for all electrical installation works. Refer to Certificates of Electrical Safety for the community on the Energy Work Safe Victoria website for further information or to request a copy of one that has already been issued.
