About Snowy Hydro
Snowy Hydro Limited has a long and proud history as an Australian company. The construction of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-electric Scheme is a well documented part of our nation’s history and we are a great example of Aussie innovation and ingenuity. The Federal Government became the sole shareholder of Snowy Hydro Limited in March 2018, after purchasing the NSW and Victorian Governments shares in the company. Snowy Hydro continues to be a Corporations Act company with an Independent Board of Directors.
Red Energy has been part of Snowy’s business for more than a decade and in 2014 Snowy added Lumo Energy to its retail portfolio, bolstering the household and business retail customer base to almost one million account holders.
