How PayTo Works

Secure payments Arrow

Step 1

Provide Red Energy with your PayID or BSB and account number. PayID is a unique identifier you establish with your online banking. It could be your mobile number or email address, an easy to remember ID. If you don’t have a PayID, log into your online banking to set one up.

Check agreement Arrow

Step 2

Red Energy will send you a new one-off PayTo agreement via your banking mobile app or internet banking for you to authorise or decline once you’ve logged in.

Authorise payment

Step 3

FAQ’s

Will the payment be in real-time?

Once you have authorised the PayTo agreement, payments will be immediate.

 

What happens if I decline the PayTo agreement?

No payment will occur and you will need to start again or use a different payment method.

 

How will I be notified to authorise my PayTo agreement?

This will depend on your bank, if you have the banking app on your phone you could receive a notification, alternatively you could be notified by email or SMS. You can contact your bank for further information.

 

What if PayTo is not available with my bank?

You will not be able to pay using PayTo and will be advised to try a different bank or another payment method.

 

What if my payment is still processing?

While most payments will be processed in near real-time, in rare cases the payment may be delayed. You can always check the status of the PayTo agreement and payment in your online banking, or contact your bank.
