Homeowners are responsible for maintaining gas appliances, flues/ducts, and gas pipes throughout the house to the gas meter. Gas emergencies
Gas leaks should not be ignored - they can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning and fires. If you smell a gas leak, take action quickly - turn off your gas appliances if safe to do so and call your gas distributor’s emergency number immediately.
