Gas emergencies
Gas leaks should not be ignored - they can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning and fires. If you smell a gas leak, take action quickly - turn off your gas appliances if safe to do so and call your gas distributor’s emergency number immediately.
You can find your gas distributor’s emergency number on your bill.
New South Wales gas distributors are:
- Jemena Gas Networks 131 909
- Australian Gas Networks 1800 427 532
Before you start any excavation, irrespective of size, contact ‘Dial before you dig’ on 1100 or via https://www.1100.com.au
